Latisse™ is an FDA-approved medical treatment for hypotrichosis used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker, and darker. Eyelash hypotrichosis is another name for having inadequate or not enough eyelashes.
The effect visible effects of using the Latisse solution are gradual. In the clinical trial, the majority of Latisse users saw a significant improvement by the end of 2 months.
The safety and effectiveness of Latisse has been shown in clinical trials. The most common side effects were itchiness and redness of eyes in about 4% of users in the clinical trial. Please note that many eyelid cosmetics have similar or even higher possibilities of such side effects. Ask Dr. Jovkar for more information.
As an ophthalmologist, Dr. Jovkar has had extensive experience with medications very similar to Latisse in treating thousands of patients diagnosed with glaucoma.
