Dr. Jovkar is the medical director of Medical and Surgical Vision Care, Inc. He is a specialist in the medical and surgical treatment of diseases of the eye.

Dr. Jovkar is a highly experienced and trained physician who is recognized by the following professional organizations:

Ophthalmology is a rapidly growing medical field that is based on complex technology. Dr. Jovkar's training in Electrical and Computer Engineering, enable him to use technological advances in ophthalmology and surgery. Dr. Jovkar has also a Masters degree (M.Sc.) in the area of biomedical engineering. He has extensive experience in laser technology in the field of ophthalmology.

Before specializing in ophthalmology, Dr. Jovkar practiced general and internal medicine. This experience was instrumental in providing him with a broad understanding of a patient's overall medical problems.

Dr. Jovkar has published many articles in peer-reviewed journals. He has co-authored a book chapter on laser surgery in the International Ophthalmology Clinics (see below). Some of the journals that have published his articles are:
