Prophylactic aspirin therapy appears to have no effect on development of new-onset age-related macular degeneration.
Women's Health Study, a randomized, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial among 39,876 women, showed that here was no difference in incident age-related macular degeneration in patients taking aspirin or placebo.
